I got the chance to spend 1 hour with Alex Hormozi.
5 weeks ago, I wrote down the names of the top 10 people who I would love to get to spend some time with.
And he was number 1 on my list.
If you don’t know who he is,
He runs Aquastion.com, has written multiple books, built and exited multiple 7 and 8-figure companies, has a massive social media following and his net worth right now is over 100 million… at age 31.
He is a super smart dude…
In business, human behaviour, sales and marketing.
So, when I joined up with my new coach, he said that he would be bringing Alex in to answer some questions. I was pretty fired up.
Fast forward a few weeks..
Alex came on camera.
He was so close to it that you could count the number of beard hairs the dude had on his face.
As soon as he opened his mouth, the fire started pouring out but so did his, I don’t give a fuck attitude…
…I am probably going to piss some people off here with my view of personal development.
Being in a room with coaches.
But I don’t really care.
This is how I see things.
There are no beliefs, there are no traits, it’s just skills.
If you want to learn patience,
You learn the actions of patience,
Then, you act out the actions of patience.
If you want to learn charisma, you learn the actions then you act out those actions to become charismatic.
They are learnable and therefore are skills.
That’s it. That’s personal development. That’s all you need to know.
So, while I see that as one way, it’s part of it… But It’s missing some big components and truths about psychology, mindset and development. You can own these parts of yourself, plus your taking action doesn’t necessarily mean you believe it about yourself.
But what this really reminded me of was…
When your mission is massive and meaningful, it becomes far too big to care about other people’s feelings. Ruthlessness is a byproduct of the size of your mission. The bigger the mission and vision you have, the more straight down the line and ruthless you are towards bullshit. You don’t have time for it.
Hmmm.. maybe I need to expand my mission a tiny bit more..
Join us for our New Year’s Transformation Workshop, where we will give you the steps to create a vision with meaning, that creates drive and action. Turning your vision into reality.
