There is something I see often in the coaches and founders I work with, and I have moved through it myself too.
You make progress.
You feel a sense of shift.
You look around and realise you have come a long way.
But the moment you go to celebrate, something pulls you back.
“If I get too uplifted, life will balance me out.”
That inner pause is understandable.
Many of us have been conditioned to hold back from appreciating what is, in case it gets taken away.
And yes, life does bring balance.
But not in the way our fears suggest.
Here’s what I’ve come to understand:
Celebration is fuel.
It is the pause that allows integration.
A moment where you see your path with more clarity.
Where you acknowledge what has been created, what you have lived through, and who you are now.
This moment of reflection is what opens the next chapter, not because anything is missing, but because you’re ready to grow again.
The void you feel after the high is not punishment.
It is your next level calling you forward.
If you skip that pause, if you push straight into “what’s next” without allowing yourself to appreciate what is, you bypass the beauty of the becoming.
So take the moment.
Let it land.
Celebrate, appreciate, and then plan what comes next.
You are not being set up for a fall.
You are being prepared for what is rising.
