When Mel came to us she had been struggling in business. She had been using a business coach for 2 years, but she just couldn’t get over the 5k per month line.
Even though she had her successful podcast, her growing social media of loyal followers and the ‘perfect’ strategies that were getting others results, she never reached her goal.
She doubted herself and her business. She was ready to burn it all down.
Pour the petrol, light the match and watch it burn.
So, what did Mel do
1. PERFORMANCE ACCELERATOR
When Mel dug in, we found her mind had been occupied by a relationship fallout that threaded through most of her life. This was a big emotional and mental distraction.
When she was working, random thoughts would pop in, take her focus, and before she knew it, she was an hour into playing out scenarios, questioning the situation and bringing up anger, anxiety and sadness.
It was taking her away from being able to focus on her business, even when she was trying to. It stopped her from performing consistently in the things that would help her grow her business.
See, most coaches focus narrowly on the area where the underperformance is happening rather than taking a whole-life approach.
The key is knowing exactly what hinders your ability to FOCUS and perform and then working through that.
This has nothing to do with the goal or result and everything to do with other parts of your life that are causing scattered thoughts and distracting emotions.
2. GROWTH CEILING BREAKTHROUGH
Growth Ceilings are a result that we keep repeating that we are trying to breakthrough.
What can be causing it is unrecognized resistance(repulsive energy) to the result we want. These are often hidden below conscious awareness and require a deep dive through high-quality questions that encompass as many angles as possible.
For Mel, it was constantly missing a financial goal each month.
Mel narrowed down and defined her resistance and fears.
It had nothing to do with the money and was directly related to her ability to deliver to more clients and the cost of that. It wasn’t some money block as most would tell you it is, it was to do with what she perceived the cost would be to her and her life if she was to grow beyond this.
Mel worked methodically to shift through this, and then we retested her goal to check if there was any resistance. Inwardly, there was none.
4 Weeks later and she had smashed her 5k goal AND had 25% revenue growth.
Having her mindset unaligned for her GOAL was the cause of her growth ceiling. And no amount of strategy change or biz hacks could get her there if she didn’t shift her mindset first.
