I am sitting here staring at my computer.
Spitting out the surface-level thoughts and ideas
With the tips of my fingers acting as my surrogate mouth.
All in the pursuit of something juicy,
A paradigm shifter.
And if you are a coach, an expert or a business owner who loves to share knowledge and wisdom you know what I am talking about.
The pursuit of the right idea,
Saying something in a way that has never been said before,
And it’s not even for your clients or audience.
It’s actually for you.
To meet your own needs,
To feel a certain way about what you have written.
To try and control the perception of yourself to your audience,
You are focused on you.
And because of this, you fall into one of two patterns.
Stuck in anxiety. Stating at a flashing cursor without a word to say. Waiting for the perfect thought, idea or quote to get you moving.
Or
Or writing a bazillion pieces and none of them meeting your unrealistic expectations, being good enough or perfect enough so you do nothing with them.
And the quickest way to shift this.
Move from focusing on yourself.
To
Focusing on serving others.
Your anxiety and hesitation are a reflection of your self-centric focus.
When you continue to focus on yourself, those feelings expand and your activation energy to act on your goal contracts.
When you focus on the service of others.
Your anxiety and hesitation contract and your activation energy for the actions to achieve your outcome (to write and deliver the content) expands.
This causes you to create and write what is best for your clients and audience, which is actually best for you and your business.
Which is actually what you really want.
How to do it?
With one simple question.
Ask yourself “Would this piece of content benefit at least one person in my audience?”
If the answer is yes, then focus on them and you will shift into creation mode automatically.
