I’ll let you in on a little secret… Timing in Business is essential.
When Justin and I were planning 7 years for MG – we were overwhelmed.
We were in the trenches, setting a massive service goal and our stress levels were peaking.
Mine showed in pace the room, like I’m ready for a battle. My nervous system is in overdrive.
Justin went quiet. He shut down like a computer that decided to turn off.
Justin – the Wiseman said, “It’s a timeframe issue.” And as soon as we changed the timeframe, which then gave us more breathing room to create what we wanted in a way that was meaningful, the stress, and the overwhelm disappeared.
A breath of sweet relief.
I wanted to share the secret with you. Here it is…
You can’t expect a cake to be cooked in 15 minutes if it is supposed to take 45 minutes. And you can’t expect it to rise if you didn’t put baking powder in it.
Yet we expect in business to have clients or customers flowing through the door because we are in business and we have a great idea.
We expect if we set a big goal that we should be able to achieve it.
Timing in business is essential. When you set a goal, and it’s too big, you’ll become frustrated or overwhelmed, and doubt. Stress is amplified.
Change the time frame
It had me wondering why some businesses achieve rapid success while others struggle to achieve their desired results.
Having spent considerable time with highly successful individuals who have built a business from an idea and blood, sweat and tears, I’ve observed a distinct determinant that has helped them.
They are aware of the timing. They push the boundaries but don’t have unrealistic expectations of what’s possible.
Maximum Growth Guidance
So where might you want to consider timing in your business? What is stressing you out most? And what timeframe can you change to allow the overwhelm to disappear?
Timing is essential in achieving goals and managing expectations. Don’t rush the process and allow enough time for growth and development to increase your chances of success.
