Sixteen messages
It was 6.30am.
And the only reason I would have a phone full of messages was if something had gone wrong.
I felt the adrenaline rush in, like a wave swallowing a sandcastle.
I took a breath.
I opened my phone.
It was all clients.
My heart sped up.
I opened the first one.
“Hey Justin, Is there anyway I can get out of my contract?”
“Hey Justin, can I pause my payments?”
“Hey Jman, I need to pause our coaching for a while”.
If my anxiety ever had a peak state.
This was it.
Overnight their businesses had been shutdown.
They had been classified as non essential.
Their income had been turned off, like a tap. One twist and not even a drip.
I had been watching other business close in our local area to.
Our coffee shop,
We managed to adapt.
But alot of other businesses just shut their doors.
As I continued to open and read each message.
My view of the economy, of money, on wealth and peoples financial states completely skewed.
From one of flow and abundance to people struggling to keep their doors open, laying off staff, closing down.
To say my mindset shifted would be an understatement.
It was was a mindset bulldoze.
That week I made 0 sales.
Every time I got on a call. (yes every single one)
I couldn’t ask for the sale.
I couldn’t ask for the money.
My inner world was screaming.
It was killing my vision and dreams.
I was trapped in a false paradigm. An extreme confirmation bias.
On day 5 I pulled out the Demartini Method and got to work on the required question.
My next sales call,
I closed a 22k deal.
To the degree that we are telling ourselves a one-sided story and running a belief system, will be to the degree that it controls our life.
Our mind will be ran by it, our decision dictated by it and our actions changed by it. And our body filled with the chemical mix to represent it.
And so if in sales,
You have any beliefs about the economy, about people, about money, about your service, about your industry and about who you are.
That you are not using to grow your business,
There will be a limitation to it.
When we can pinpoint these, then apply the laws of the universe to our psychology and shift our perception to see the whole picture. We set ourselves free to then be our authentic self and break free from the shackles of that belief system.
That’s how I was able to shift back into alignment and move out of hiding back into service.
By asking the questions that shifted my perception and me back into authenticity.
That aligned my psychology with the laws of the universe,
That then allowed me to break through, expand my perspective and grow.
And so if you are stuck in your sales.
I encourage you to explore this question.
What beliefs do I currently have, that are limiting my ability to sell and then serve the people who need my service?
Until next time,
Keep Smashing Growth Ceilings.
