I have been sitting with a thought lately about how we frame our lives.
We often hear the phrase “everything serves,” and while it comes from a place of seeking meaning, it can sometimes feel like an exaggerated label we place on what is happening around us.
When we only look for the service, we might be creating a lopsided view of a universe that actually exists in two parts.
To find a state of balance, it is so helpful to acknowledge the disservice right alongside the service.
When we only see one side, our minds can feel a bit restless or unsettled, as if we are trying to convince ourselves of something that isn’t quite the whole truth.
By noticing how both show up in equal measure, those biased labels start to fade away.
It leaves us with a much more grounded and peaceful understanding of our reality.
It is a relief to realise that we don’t have to keep choosing one side over the other.
Nothing is missing from the moment when we see the whole picture, and we can simply appreciate the equilibrium that is already there.
