Hi Coach,
When setting goals there is big reason we want it to be measurable,
And not because it lets you know if you have achieved it or not.
It’s actually more powerful than that.
To make it measurable you have to take account of what most people avoid.
A true measurable assessment of their current position.
It’s the measure that matters,
As without this every other piece of the goal
Is just a guess,
A stab in the dark,
Without this launchpad in place.
And without this in place,
You are setting goals from a false assessment of a current position.
Which leads to false assessments of all future positions.
Either an under or over exaggeration of progress.
Or, even worse.
Setting the plan for the right destination,
But from the wrong original position.
Imagine being in Paris and wanting to get to LA.
But you think you’re in New York, so you set your path from here.
You wouldn’t end up in LA,
You would end up taking off and going in the wrong direction and landing in the complete wrong destination.
You have no way to set the correct course without understanding where you are, even if you know where you want to go.
So get measurable,
First On your current position,
Then on your outcome and the course to follow.
And if you need help to do this,
Join us in our Business Membership where we are currently planning out our 12 month goal, creating measures and milestones and setting up accountabilities for them to achieve it 🙂Â
Until next week,
