What We Mean By Maximum Growth

If you are here,

Apart of Maximum Growth,

I am going to assume, ultimately you are here to push the envelope of whats possible for you in your life, in your mindset, in your business, your health, your wealth, your relationships and for you as a coach.

The problem I find is that most people want maximum growth, but they do not understand:

What it is

How to put themselves in the position to get it.

This is what we mean by Maximum Growth.

The willingness to embrace both pain and pleasure, support and challenge, discomfort and comfort, ease and difficulty in support of the vision of who you want to become, the impact you want to create and the outer vision you have for you life.

It is to discover, then choose to live at the boundary of your comfort zone and distress zone. What I call the stretch zone, where you are most resilient. The border of inner support and challenge. The border of pleasure and pain.

The zone that feels uncomfortable, but at the same time you have an inner knowing that this is fully in support of the vision of who you want to become, the impact you want to create and the outer vision you have for you life.

The ability to embrace rejection as apart of service, the ability to embrace bankruptcy as a part of wealth creation, the ability to embrace tantrums as a part of raising empowered children, the ability to embrace criticism as a part of influence.

The problem is most people want growth without challenge, and only support. They want to be comfortable but still have the outcome.

They want the growth, but not the challenge.

Growth doesn’t occur here.

This is a place of contraction, where life puts challenges in front of people to force them to grow, and the more we contract away from these the greater the pain we have, the problems we face, the difficulties and overwhelming challenges. We get all these in the forms we are trying to avoid.

A coach who wants to impact 100,000s of people, but doesn’t want to face the uncomfortableness and challenge of getting on social media platforms will have to face the challenges of not being seen, the frustration of their vision not being fulfilled and not having the impact they want. To be left unknown.

A coach who wants to build a business that supports them, but doesn’t want to be judged as salesy will have to face the challenges of feast and famine cycles and a business that doesn’t support them, their family or their life.

As soon as they decide to take on the challenge, rather than sitting in the ease, comfort and support of what they know, they have growth.

That growth occurs on the border of the challenge of making the decision of doing what they are avoidant of doing, and the support of the decision.

They have enter into the stretch zone.

Where discomfort is the price you pay for your growth.

And so if one is not willing to play in this zone, they are not willing to put themselves into the position for Maximum Growth and resilience.

Its like grass.

If you have kids and a trampoline, you know that as soon as you move the trampoline, the grass dies and turns brown within a few days of getting sunlight.

If you give it shade, humidity and damp ground, then it gets bright sunlight, dry heat and dry ground it dies.

If you overwater it, then leave it for a few days without water in full sunlight, it will die.

If you give it no water, in a week of 38 degree C days, it will die.

If you give it too much water, it will die.

If you give it the optimal amount of water and sunshine, it will thrive. It will have maximum growth and resilience. On the border of challenge and support, sustenance and deprivation, heat and cool.

This is a law of nature that you can not escape.

And so if you are not willing to play by this law of Maximum Growth.

The embracing of both support and challenge, pain and pleasure, comfort and discomfort in the pursuit of your vision. You will be forced into the pain, the discomfort and difficulties and feel over challenged to force your growth.

So this is what we mean by Maximum Growth.

The willingness to embrace both the pain and pleasure, to live in your stretch zone in the pursuit of your vision.

Until next week,
