Our identity is often a reflection of the feedback we received during our formative years.
We are moulded by the influences of our family, culture and society.
These external standards define what is considered praiseworthy and what is deemed shameful.
We tend to repeat the behaviours that bring us pride and hide the parts of ourselves that trigger shame.
This creates a perception that we are only the persona that garnered support.
Yet we possess every human trait.
Nothing is missing.
We are the parts we show the world and the parts we have disowned.
When you see that the traits you labelled as negative serve a purpose you return to equilibrium.
You stop running from judgement and stop seeking validation.
You get to decide who you are today.
To your brilliance,
